Measuring for your new blinds is a simple, straightforward process. By following our step-by-step guide, you can ensure a perfect fit and enjoy significant savings in just a few minutes.
Standard Windows, Measuring for Recess Fitting
Measure the drop of the recess by taking three measurements from the top downwards along the left, middle, and right sides. The smallest of these measurements will determine the drop of your blind.
Measure the width of the recess at three points: the top, middle, and bottom. The smallest measurement obtained will determine the width of your blind.
Now, select your ideal blind. When prompted, input the two measurements you’ve recorded and choose the “Recess” option.
Please note: If the lower part of your recess is tiled, which is often the case in bathrooms and kitchens, measure the width from the tiled section since it is typically the narrowest part. However, for Roller or Twist&Fit blinds, use the measurement from the top to ensure a perfect fit.
If your recess depth measures 60mm or less, or if the window opens inwards, an exact fitting would be most suitable. Please follow the measuring guide for exact fitting blinds to ensure accuracy.
Standard Windows, Measuring for Exact Fitting
Measure across the exterior of the recess from one side to the other, beginning and ending where you desire the edges of your blind to be positioned.
Measure vertically from where you want the rail to be situated down to where you desire the bottom of your blind to be positioned.
Now, choose your preferred blind. When prompted, enter the two measurements you’ve recorded and select the “Exact” option.
Please be aware: exact measurements for Roller Blinds encompass not only the width of the fabric or material but also incorporate headrail fittings and controls.
For optimal results, ensure your blind extends beyond the edges of the recess by a minimum of 35mm on each side. This ensures ample space to accommodate the recommended overlap.

To measure your windows accurately, start by measuring the width and height of the window recess or the area you want to cover. Make sure to measure at three points for width (top, middle, and bottom) and use the longest measurement for width. For height, measure from the top of the recess to the sill.
It depends on your preference and the type of window treatment you want. For inside mount blinds or curtains, measure the exact width and height of the recess. For outside mount, measure the area you want to cover, adding extra width and height for overlap and coverage.
